Please, Shoot Me Now

8:40 - Phone rings. The psychometrist is sick. Would we like to cancel the whole day and reschedule for sometime in November? No, we would not. We can still go for our afternoon appointment with the child psychiatrist, and the morning appointment will have to be rescheduled at a time yet to be specified.

Bub's now at nursery school, and I'm feeling vaguely as though I ought to go to class and sit in on the lecture my T.A. is giving, but instead I'm home blogging about it and downloading this:

Maybe, just maybe, there is a reason for this that you don't know yet.

If we could just combine our two days somehow, we would have the ultimate bad day in which nothing really dreadful has actually happened. (unless you're a mouse)

This happened to us too. We got through all the testing. I thought, Finally! Today's the day we'll get the results. What we got instead was, "We've noticed some fine motor issues while we were doing our tests so we want to schedule an appointment with the occupational therapist for testing as well. This delayed the results for another two months. How well I know this frustration. This and the uppity professional attitude. A little kindness goes a long way. Hang in there.
