At Six O'Clock This Morning

Bub: I'm not sleeping anymore. I'm awake!

Me: Umhmm.

Bub: Mama, it's not time for sleeping. It's time to go downstairs and get some cereal.

Me: I'm sleeping right now, Bub.

Bub: You're not sleeping, Mama! You already ate all the sleeps!

sleeps is delicacies.

Ugh, don't tell Cordy about eating sleep. She would then scarf it down and be awake even earlier in the morning.

That's hilarious. Munchkin loves to bounce on the bed in the mornings, yelling 'WAKE UP!! WAKE UP!!' and *slapping* whosoever dares to close his or her eyes. Great game. Very bracing.

Not as many calories as eating sleep, I imagine.

At 3am: "Mom I want some milky"
"No A, you're tummy has a virus"

Tantrum

"If you want milky, you must take the disgusting medicine first" (aka children's liquid gravel)
"Ok" in a pathetically sad voice.
Takes medicine
"I'll set the beep beeps. When it goes off, you can dirnk a little milky"
"No, I want this much milky!!"

Tantrum

Set the alarm for 3:45am (15 minutes to give the medicine time to work)

"Mom did the beep beeps go?"
"No A, not yet." Crying.
Repeat and repeat and repeat.

Beeps Beeps
"Here you go A. Here's your milky."
Quiet; trying to go back to sleep.

4am: "Mom, I want some more milky. It's wake up time."

I kept him in bed until 7am but we were up every 1/2 hour and more and more milky was drunk at 15minute intervals. It was a really long night.

Oh, how wonderful those sleeps taste. I just can't seem to get enough of them....

I just love this. But I'm wondering: are sleeps only a nighttime thing or can you eat them for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, too? Can you overdose on sleeps? I'd really like to find out.
