All Right Then, Have An Earache
Bub: (on being offered grape-flavoured Children's Advil, cleverly disguised as applesauce) I don't think this is applesauce, Daddy. I think this is medicine sauce.

Oh now, that boy is just TOO clever. Medicine sauce. Snort.
LOL mmmm medicine sauce.....
Oh - so cute! And so smart...
Miss M LOVES medicine. She's always asking for it. In fact, just today she said, "Mommy, my bum is sore. I think I need medicine." Ya, right.
Scooter can't be fooled either. Now he'll take it when I explain that it will make his nose/head/throat better and sometimes he even says he likes it. Before, it required a mix of authoritative commands and begging and standing by with juice ready to take away the taste.
O is a medicine hog...if i'd give it to him as applesauce, he'd be a certified addict.
of course, he ain't four. :)
lol! so funny.
Oh, he's clever for sure. KayTar is the same way, although not verbal enough to convey it. She sticks to gagging and subsequent screaming. ;)
Bwa ha ha - kids are not dumb.
Can't pull one over on him, can you?
wow, MQ BEGS for medicine, sick or not. Which is why I keep it on a very high shelf, and tell her REPEATEDLY that we only take it if we really need it.
smart boy!
He's gonna be some teenager...
Freaking genius, that Bub.
Darn those smart kids.
My kids are MUCH more cheerful now that they're old enough for the chewable medicine...
Both my girls love the 'purple medicine' not to be confused with any other colour or flavour.
Beck made me laugh because while Papoosie Girl takes a chewable tablet everyday for her asthma control she will not chew any pain reliever meds - she tells me they taste like shower curtains.
Ha! Clever boy.
They ALWAYS know, don't they.
Oh yeah. Clever boy.
too cute...and very clever...
And my kids love the meds, too. Next time, try crushing up a nasty pill in honey and see how he likes that. Because that's what my childhood medication was like. Also? I had to walk uphill to school. Both ways. In the snow. Without shoes.
My daughter won't take liquid meds either. I don't understand why, it has SUGAR in it! She loves the chewable ones though, and asks for it all the time.
Julia came up to me yesterday, bogged down with what is probably the beginnings of a nasty cold, and said, "Mummy, I can't breathe out of my nose. There's too much stuffing in there!"
I love the little things our kids say...
that's exactly what a frat brother used to call grain and kool aid.
He's a wiley one, that Bub.
My middle doesn't like medicine OR applesauce.
Medicine sauce. Awesome.
Bee loves 'medicine.' I think her favourite part of the day is getting her vitamin D drop.
NAILED!
HaHA! You can't out-smart a smarty!
Smart Bub. Its good to know when one's food or drink has been laced...
catherine
Smart boy and oh so funny!!!!!! Angela
Mama needs her some medicine sauce.
roflmao. That is the funniest hing I have ever heard!!
Oh-HO! Bub just earned an out-loud chortle.
Smile
Too smart
Heh. That's hysterical.
Boo loves to take medicine. She's either going to be a doctor or a hypochondriac.
It does seem like something grape-y and purple might sort of go noticed in something apple-y and sort of pale yellow, no?
My mom used to use milkshakes to give us our medicine, only the meds weren't in the milkshake... we had to take the medicine really quickly and then we could down milkshakes to get rid of the taste.
I suppose this would be really gross with a kid with a stomach bug, but we never EVER had those.
oh the dreaded medicine sauce!!!!!!
Running on empty
I guess this means he's on to you....
Medicine sauce! I love it...
medicine sauce with a side of thermometer. yummy!
aww! we call that "awesome sauce" in our household -- you're free to appropriate as you see fit ;)
Yo! Is all ok in Bea land? It's not often (ever) I have to wait this long for Bea-goodness.
Ah, medicine sauce. Our little sicky lurves medicine sauce.
Hold the apples.
Smart boy. Cordy hates any medicine, disguised or not. She had a high fever last night, but it was safer to let her ride it out rather than go through the experience of trying to get any Advil into her.
