Bub: But Mama, on TV it says Frogs Bunny.Me: No, Bub. It really doesn't.Bub: (stunned disbelief)
That Frogs Bunny. You just never know what's up with him. Also, my Boy now suspects that Bugs LIKES wearing dresses.
This tickled my funny bone today! Thanks.
I think bugs does like wearing dresses... along with many other costumes - conductor, hunter, opera singer, intellectual, salesman, etc... That crazy rabbit. So cute, your post... with the stunned disbelief n'all.
I first saw this post in my reader without the picture... The picture really pulls the whole post together! ;)So cute. I think he will always be Frogs Bunny in my mind now!
You never know what those crazy genetic engineers are up to these days...
My daughter never believes me when I try to correct her on something like that. She still says Sleeping Doobie. Although I don't correct her on that one all too often.
Frogs Bunny. *giggle*Reminds me of the time we were in the grocery store and one of my kids referred to Kiwi-flavored yogurt as "PeeWee Yogurt". Because he really thought that's what it was.
Cute.My kid watches Jack and Cody on Disney (it's Zack, btw). She laughs when she says it, knowing I will be compelled to correct her.
There is NO WAY that you're going to talk him out of his assumption. :) It is cute, though. Sounds more fun, somehow.
Sometimes, it's just easier to let them believe what they want to believe. And by "easier," I mean "easier on me."
He's probably been wondering where the frog has been all this time?!!I love those things, but am slightly heartbroken when I have to correct them.My 5 yr old always said "wet" cream instead of "whipped cream," and when I finally corrected him, he said, "But I've been saying it wrong my WHOLE LIFE!"Another favorite: "walkamole" instead of guacamoleI fear the other discoveries that learning how to read will bring, like knowing all the extra stuff on the digital cable channels that I've been hiding!
Wait, you mean, it isn't Frogs Bunny?!!! Damn.
There goes his whole belief system. Hehe.
I love stories like this...both my girls are still referring to the "cavana" on our trip which is really cabana. That and Rosebud still says "eruft" instead of erupt. Maybe Bub thought Bugs was part frog?
Growing up, we had a dog named Amanda Butteroo...because my little brother was convinced that the alphabet went "...T, U, V, Butteroo, X...":)
Ha. I love Bub's complete self-confidence in his own judgment.
MQ is forever telling me that I have stuff wrong because she hears it differently
